I've been looking forward to the Disney Halloween time event since the weather started to warm up back in May. Two weeks ago, when I received an email to register for the Magic Access Night for the "Journey to Halloween Town" walkthrough, I was super excited to finally get into the Halloween spirit!
Unfortunately, the Magic Access event was cancelled due to Super Typhoon Mangkhut set to hit Hong Kong the following day. I was pretty disappointed because I was looking forward to the extended park hours but this didn't stop me or Carla from heading to Disneyland and taking advantage of the calm before the storm.
After strapping on our brand-new Halloween themed ears, we marched straight down Main Street to start our Halloween fun! The park was still open and the sun was still up, but once the Typhoon Signal 3 was raised, all outdoor attractions were closed. Luckily for us, Journey to Halloween Town is an indoor attraction, and we managed to catch both parades.
I love the seasonal parades Hong Kong Disneyland has when a new event comes along, but it's the Halloween parades that really get me going. Even after the brand new Pixar Water Play Street Party, I have a super soft spot for Mickey's Halloween Time Street Party and Villains Night Out. There's something about their soundtracks that excite me. I love the cheery song that they play in the daytime and I absolutely love the groovy evil music that plays at night. The fact that they're both so different from each other but have the same theme really makes me enjoy Halloween more. They've been on for the past two years, but I'm still extremely happy to catch them every time (especially Villains Night Out!).

This year, the haunted house wasn't really a haunted house like The Nightmare Experiment that ran the last two Halloweens. Journey to Halloween Town is an immersive experience similar to Dimensions of Danger that popped up during Super Hero Summer in 2017. Even though it wasn't the usual scary haunt, Carla and I still managed to get scared (in broad daylight as well!).
Check out our journey as we venture into Halloween Town ourselves!

With the storm looming closer and the park about to close, we weren't able to stop by Fantasy Gardens to meet Winnie the Pooh and his friends decked out in their Halloween gear or any of the Disney Villains either. Luckily we managed to meet Jack and Sally! I'm just happy it's only September, so we have plenty of time to come back and meet everybody!
