In the depths of the jungle of Adventureland, the Karibuni Marketplace finally opens, offering games, food and numerous photo opportunities with some your favourite Disney characters! I feel like this bustling marketplace really adds a festive vibe to the rest of Adventureland as well as giving guests a larger variety of attractions to enjoy. Previously, activities other than dining in Adventureland consisted of only the Festival of the Lion King show, Tarzan's Treehouse and the world famous Jungle River Cruise. With the Karibuni Marketplace in full swing, guests are kept entertained and on their toes!
One thing I love about this new marketplace is that we finally have a wider meet and greet variety. When I went for the first time on the 4th of April, I had the pleasure of meeting Genie and Princess Jasmine for the first time! I loved talking to Jasmine about the magical kingdom of Hong Kong, and I definitely enjoyed learning how to princess pose with Agrabah's one and only princess. Depending on the day, I've heard you can also meet Timon, Carl and Russell from Up and Lilo & Stitch! Hopefully I'll bump into them during one of my next trips.
When I took Carla and James, Carla had had her eyes set on some Karibuni Marketplace exclusive merch. Obviously the only way to get that Eeyore pillow pet was to deploy James to the ball tosser game. Since the games are pay to play at $50 HKD each, you're pretty much guaranteed a prize (even if it's just a "thank you for playing, you tried your best" pity prize). These small participation gifts are either a Tsum Tsum of your choice or a pin. Luckily they have a wide selection of games that rely on precision, luck, probability or even a little bit of strength. So you're free to choose whichever game you feel you specialise in.

Even though we didn't win the jackpot Eeyore pillow pet, Carla is pretty satisfied with her Heimlich Tsum Tsum and Judy as a turnip pin.
We're all super psyched about all the new attractions opening with the multiyear expansion project. The Karibuni Marketplace is just one of Adventureland's new attractions. Moana: A Homecoming Celebration is set to open next month!
